Non-return damper for cooker hoods and ventilation Ø100 mm

Key features

• Automatic non-return damper : the flap closes by itself as soon as the cooker hood or ventilation stops. No more cold air, moisture and odours coming back from the duct: air only flows one way, with less heat loss in winter.
• Galvanised steel, stainless steel shaft and spring : galvanised steel body that resists corrosion and the humidity of extract ducts. The stainless steel shaft and spring keep the damper's return force over time, without seizing.
• Rubber seal and silent operation : the perimeter seal makes the joint airtight and cushions the closing of the flap. No more rattling in the wind or whistling in the duct.
• Male/male connector Ø 100 mm - DN100 : fits directly onto rigid ducts, pipes, flexible hoses and vent grilles of 100 mm diameter. Compatible with kitchen cooker hoods, bathroom extractor fans, vented tumble dryers and single or dual flow ventilation systems.
• Vertical or horizontal fitting in minutes : fits either way round, at the outlet or in-line on the duct. No special tools or skills needed — push on, point the arrow in the airflow direction, secure. Supplied ready to fit.

What it is for

When the cooker hood or ventilation stops, the duct stays open to the outside. Cold air comes down, moisture rises, the neighbours' cooking smells come back and the wind rattles the duct. The DOMUX non-return damper closes the passage automatically as soon as extraction stops, and only opens under the pressure of outgoing air. You keep the heat in your home and stop backdraughts.

Construction

Corrosion-resistant galvanised steel body, lightweight aluminium flap, stainless steel shaft and spring for a positive closure year after year. The rubber perimeter seal makes the joint airtight and cushions the flap: operation stays silent, even on windy days.

Installation

Ø 100 mm male/male connector, compatible with rigid ducts, pipes, flexible hoses and vent grilles of the same diameter. Vertical or horizontal fitting, at the outlet or in-line. Push on, point the arrow in the airflow direction, secure: it takes a few minutes and needs no special tools.
